GET INVOLVED

We some wonderful ministry opportunities for you to get involved and serve at Every Nation Grahamstown. If you’d like any information on any of the following, please contact us at info@engrahamstown.org and we’ll ensure your queries get passed on to the relevant leaders.

Children’s Church

Jesus taught that the greatest people in His Kingdom are the children (Matt 18:1-4). We believe at Every Nation that we need to give our best to the children. Our children’s ministry desires to train up children in the ways of God. We aim to do this through a partnership with families. Children’s church runs parallel to the Sunday 9:30am service – during this time we are committed to creating a fun and vibrant atmosphere; making Christianity, loving God and loving people relevant to children in today’s world.

Youth

Raising the next generation of leaders is at the heart of the youth ministry. The youth are the hope of our future and the leaders of tomorrow. We endeavour to mentor and train future leaders through discipleship and small groups in a variety of the local Grahamstown schools.

Men’s Ministry

God has called men to be tender warriors – men who will be champions in their families, churches, communities and businesses. Our mission in men’s ministry is to build balanced men, who are kings, warriors, mentors and friends, through equipping (strong Biblical teaching & training), friendship (authentic man-to-man relationships) and accountability (honesty and transparency).

“Liberated” Women’s Ministry

We desire to see freedom, wholeness, hope and beauty returned to women. Our heart is to develop long-lasting and life-giving friendships with other women of all ages and cultures. We are excited by the prospect of a generation of sisters, daughters, mothers and grandmothers rising up who know their purpose in God and who are free to run into their destinies to influence the world around them.

Worship

At Every Nation we praise and worship God wholeheartedly with an extravagant, spontaneous and prophetic outpouring in our lives. We believe in and desire to worship God just as King David did – unashamedly. Most of our songs are home-grown, but whatever we sing, our heart is to enter into God’s presence, bring Him the worship He deserves as the King of kings and grow in deeper intimacy with Him as we see more of Him in our lives. This ministry is not only made up of a select few musical heroes, but also people who are involved in the sound team, the media team and the choir.

Prayer

Prayer is the fuel behind everything we are called to be and do in the Kingdom of God. In our various prayer meetings we desire to encounter God, discover His wisdom for the church and be empowered and transformed by His Spirit. Our prayer meetings are open and everybody is welcome!

Sunday: Church prayer meetings start half an hour before each service (i.e. 9:00am & 6:00pm)

Thursday: 5:30pm at 10 Hill Street.

Missions

The last commandment Jesus gave to His followers was to go into all the world & make disciples of all nations. We reach out to Rhodes University, Makhanda (Grahamstown), South Africa and beyond in an effort to disciple the nations. We have Engage afternoons (mini-missions) which run twice weekly where we go onto the campus to engage in spiritual conversations with people. We also go into the streets of Grahamstown to see God touch the community in supernatural ways, through God’s healing and loving power. On a wider scale we run missions annually within South Africa as well as beyond its borders.

Social Responsibility

1 John 3:18 says “let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth.” God is calling us to love & heal our city through practical acts of service. As we engage in the life of the city & extend God’s compassion to people, we will be the light and salt of Grahamstown.

Creative Ministry

The very first facet of God’s personality that is revealed to us in the Bible is that of God the Creator. And, since we have been made in His image as His children, He delights when we co-create things with him. This process can take on many forms, and we celebrate that the end product is usually as diverse and nuanced as the person creating. If you’d like to hone your skills and honour God in many different with your photography, writing, dancing, visual art, decorating skills or graphic design then we’d love to welcome you to the Creative Min team.

Counselling Ministry

While we encourage connect small groups to carry their members through different challenges and hurts in life, we understand that sometimes a situation needs somebody more experienced in a certain area of counselling and healing. Our counselling team are trained and equipped to help people navigate circumstances and times of life that they are experienced with by listening, encouraging and helping lead the person closer to the Holy Spirit, who is the true counsellor and the only One who can bring lasting victory, change and healing. Should you have any matter, big or small, that you’d like to talk to one of our counselling team members with, please contact counselling@engrahamstown.org.

Sunday Teams

On any given Sunday teams of people are involved in making the services happen with love and excellence. The church is a family and, like any natural family, it requires all of us in the family to “help out around the house” for things to happen! Serving on a team is a great way to make new friends, feel more connected to the church and become like Christ as we follow Him who came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). You can get involved in any of the following teams:

Cake baking

Hospitality

Security

Setup

Sound

Beverages

Projector
